Who we are

Magnetite (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the Proof Engine service from the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, contact privacy@magnetite.ai.

What we collect on this site

• Analytics. We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type. Session recording is disabled. PostHog stores a first-party identifier in your browser. We do not run advertising cookies or sell data.
• Booking. When you book a Proof Audit, the scheduling form is provided by Cal.com. The name, email address and meeting details you enter are processed by Cal.com under their privacy policy and shared with us to run the meeting.
• Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and our business records.

What we collect when we run an audit

The Proof Engine analyses publicly available content (for example LinkedIn posts and software reviews) that mentions our clients' products. That content can include the names, public profiles and public statements of the people who wrote it. We process it on the basis of legitimate interest, we never use anyone's content in advertising without their recorded permission, and we never pay for posts. If your public content appears in an audit and you want it removed, email us and we will delete it.

• Convex (application data hosting)

Retention

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes above. Analytics data is retained per PostHog's standard retention. Audit records are retained while the related client engagement is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing, and request portability. Email privacy@magnetite.ai and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
